TrailMax Pommel Pocket$12.95 at Outfitters SupplyThe trailMAX Pommel Pocket was created for only one reason. We could never find our truck keys in the bottom of our saddlebags after a day’s ride, and nobody was volunteering to sit in the saddle all day with keys in their front pants’ pocket. Actually, the design is so simple, yet so useful, we can’t believe we didn’t come up with it sooner.

The Pommel Pocket is a small saddlebag just the right size to store your keys, identification and a cell phone, and (unless you carry your key chain collection with you) a chocolate bar for emergencies. This small saddlebag will attach to just about all western and endurance trail saddles by simply running the two adjustable straps through the saddle gullet and around the pommel. Buckle, tighten the straps, and head down the trail. The bag is designed to fit tightly to the saddle, without being in the way of the rider or horse.

Our commitment to quality shows in even the small items. Like all of our trailMAX saddlebags, the Pommel Pocket is made of 1,000-denier nylon, double stitched at all seams, and sports a heavy-duty zipper and leather pull tab. Best yet, this little bag fits over our Original and Junior Horn Bags and Endurance Pommel Bags as well, so you will be the most organized rider in your group. It will also fit right between the 500 Series Water Pocket and Front Pocket if you need just a little more space than that combination allows.
